Roamin' Catholic
Not only was I enjoying myself on our two month trip around Europe, but I was doing a little bit of research while I was at it - for my Roamin' Catholic column on the Triumph! Website. For those who don't know what it is, Triumph! is a Young Adults Group that meets twice a month at my home parish, St Mary's, Northcote (Auckland, NZ). The website, although initially set up for Triumph! members, is also handy for Catholics around Auckland as it contains information on Catholic youth activities etc.
My column, Roamin' Catholic, is written about all the Churches (mainly Catholic) that I visited on my travels. I talk about the interesting things that I discovered in the Churches of different cities and countries and even the differences in some of the Masses that I attended while I was travelling! Having not been to a single English-speaking Mass in the entire two months that I travelled meant that the Masses I did go to were very interesting! So far I have covered some of the Churches in Sydney, London, Cork, Dublin, Scotland, Paris, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Venice with Sicily, Rome, Lauterbrunnen, Marseille, and Barcelona to come - not to mention the ones that I have visited in Dublin City and Cork since I have been back!
So if you are interested in the differences between Churches that I visited on my travels, check it out by clicking here.
