Another Boozy - oh sorry I mean Busy Weekend!
Ado has just moved back up to Dublin after the Summer and his Cork girlfriend Aisling and cousin Nicole came up with him for the weekend so on Friday night I went around to the Nix's to see them all along with a bunch of the lads. Although it we were just sitting around in the sitting room drinking and talking, the fact that we didn't go to bed until 3am and that I was sharing a queen-sized bed with the two other girls, meant that I was pretty tired the next day.
Still, I got up early enough to appreciate a good fried breakfast then headed into town with Aisling and Nicole to do some shopping and meet up with Johnny for a drink (non-alcoholic!).
Saturday night we had been invited to join the rest of the Netball Dublin Staff for dinner and a few drinks at Rathmines Inn. Not knowing what it would be like as we didn't really know anyone, we went along and were pleasantly surprised as they were all really friendly and as rowdy as some of our NZ friends (you know who you are)! They are also made up of a lot of Aussies, Kiwis, and the odd South African and when we left at 11pm they were all in the middle of some very noisey drinking games (no Audrey I didn't start it off but I sure as heck joined in!). We were sorry to go but sure that we would do it again.
I had told the lads that we would meet them in another club (Barcode) after the dinner so we went on over there and ended up having to stand in a queue for 45 minutes before we could get in! It was good inside though and we stayed there until it closed at 2.30am, drinking, dancing and yelling over the loud music - my voice is still recovering from all the yelling and singing!
Sunday was a very slow one indeed as we spent most of it sleeping and resting, only getting out to go to Church and buy a double airbed so we have something for guests to sleep on when they come to visit! Yay! You all better visit now!
Last night Johnny had training for netball reffing and I went along to get in a bit more practice. We are both improving slowly although it is a lot harder than I thought it would be as there is so much to look out for! The team that I am playing with on Thursday nights is nice though and I would say we are all around the same skill level (which really doesn't say much for the rest of the team but we don't seem to do too badly in our grade) so I am really enjoying playing. I forgot how much I missed playing Netball!
Anyway, better go or else *ahem* will make comments again about my long posts! :-P
