Weekend Activities

Being new to the concept of UNLIMITED MOVIES, we took the opportunity to fully utilise our membership to the extreme & watched 4 movies over the weekend. We saw Birth, Sharks Tale, Hero, and Man on Fire - you can read all about it on our Movie Reviews Site.

I had a hockey game on Saturday. Once again we got whipped by the apparently bottom of the draw team - minor detail :-). The game was interesting for me in that it was the first time ever in my life that I had to play a game in the middle of the day under FLOODLIGHTS. Thats right, it was that dark hehe. Something else that amazed me is the number of LEFT-HANDED players. These guys hold the stick with their right-hand at the top of the stick and just imagine a defender running along side you with his stick in the air in one hand like a baseball bat about to strike down on you... farkin' scary if you ask me. Apparently these guys are used to playing Hurling and that how they hold the hurl.

Sunday was a bit of a slow one... it was a family lunch at the Nix's followed by blobbing out on the couch at home. Oh! way to go Paula Radcliffe yay!!
