nearly xmas!

Manic shopping : Xmas drunken work do : No work done

On the paper the other day, "shops expect €20m / hour spend". The Irish absolutely go nuts over Xmas, mountains of shoppers everywhere, everything from anything being sold everywhere. People on their cellphones with their friends & family figuring out what they still need to buy blah blah. Absolutely incredible. Money seems to be just flowing out of everyone's pockets here. Luckily I think I've done my xmas shopping...

My team at work went out to an Italian restaurant (Little Caesers) for dinner on Wednesday. 50 of us cramed into a space no larger than 6m x 5m, lets just say it was kinda of a "Team Bonding" exercise with way too much body contact going on :-) It was a brilliant night nevertheless, the food was delicious and everytime the waiter walked pass, my boss would hold out 4 fingers (4 beers please!). Everytime!! we ended up passing beers up and down the table, only to find they were ordering them from the other end. Eventually it all clogged up in the middle where I was sitting... oh darn!

Lots of guys have taken Thursday & Friday off so the office is rather quiet. The people that are in don't really feel like doing any work so we are just sitting here surfing the net, talking, drinking coffee... ah... let the good times roll. Merry Christmas.
