Two Years and One Weekend...

January 4th was two years since Johnny and I started going out. Unfortunately, it was also our first day back at work after the Christmas break which sucks. However, when I got home from work that evening, I was nicely surprised by a red rose and a bottle of champagne from Johnny. After a drinking a bit of the champagne, we thought that we would got out for dinner like we had planned. I thought that we would be walking as usual (it only takes 10 mins to walk to town) but again I was surprised by a horse and carriage picking us up! We went on a half hour ride around the town (with lots of people staring!) before getting dropped off near the restaurant. We went to a yummy Chinese restaurant called Mao, ate and drank lots before going home. Oh and don't think I didn't give Johnny anything! He got a hand-made photo album of our last year together (he had done one for 2003 for our one year anniversary).

Last weekend myself, Guillaume and Ophelie went to watch Johnny play hockey on Saturday morning at his home ground. It was a beautiful blue-sky day (although bitterly cold - thank goodness for club-houses with windows!) and Johnny played really well. His team (the Pembroke Wanderers) won 4 - 1. Yay! That night had my friend Ciara and her boyfriend Steve up from Cork to stay. It was a fairly quiet night as we just hung out, watched DVDs and played cards but it was fun nonetheless.

Things are going well for me at my new job. I am really enjoying it and everyone here is really nice. Definitely a better environment than my old position! Yay! I am told that the crowd here go out for drinks often but, as everyone is poor after Christmas, we haven't been out yet... soon hopefully though as I am sure it will be a laugh!
