Good Times In Good Ol' NZ

You can always count on good old Auckland weather to turn crap once the long weekend rolls around.... we had the biggest thunder and lightening storm I have seen in a long time this morning! The thunder was definitely the loudest I have ever heard in my life - shaking the house, setting off car alarms and waking the neighbourhood at 7am! It was scary! Luckily the storm is over now though and the weather is shaping up quite nicely now. The weather has been so perfect in the last couple of weeks that I have been here that it needed to rain a bit I guess.

I have been having a great time over here - very hectic as I rush around catching up with people but it is fantastic to see people again and spend time with them.

Highlights so far have included St. Paddy's Day in the pub with friends, the most gorgeous wedding of James and Christie Bergin, a fun BBQ with a whole bunch of close friends and a day on a lovely beach in Whangaparoa.

I have also had the pleasure of the company of an American friend, Gene, for the last week. Having lived over here for six months, four and a half years ago, he became good friends of mine and a few others including James Bergin so he decided to come back to NZ for James' wedding. He was only here for six days but he stayed with me for that time and it was nice to have another person around to hang out with while others were at work!

It has been great so far and I know that there are more fun times ahead during my stay here. It will be sad to have to leave in less than two weeks time!

Photos of course are to come but our limit of uploads has expired for this month so we will all have to wait until April! Keep checking though!

Hope everyone has a very Happy Easter!!
