a lil yarn from me

Ok, Csus4 and ... up down up down up, down down up down up. If that made sense to you then you are probably somewhat of a guitar player! I've recently entered this jammin' population and I love it! I've been learning at the Walton School of Music in a beginners class. Learning to play the guitar in someways is so much easier than another instrument like the piano and it sounds soooo cool! I'm still amazed at how some songs are really just 2-3 chords!! SWEET HOME ALABAMA... do dee dee doo!!


So apart from the guitar lessons, I've also started my German lessons!! 'Mein Name ist Johnny. Und Wer ist das?' hehe. Ok I'm just showing off what little German I've learnt from 1 class :-) It was a bit of a shock when I walked into the classroom because the teacher was happily talking away in German to the class I thought I was in the wrong class! It all got better when I looked at the classroom full of grins and blank faces, it was soon clear to me no one understood a thing... Its lots of fun so far & maybe my German will be good enough for next time at the Oktoberfest?

hmm... or maybe I can put the 2 new skills together and sing some German songs (99 Red Baloons hehe) ? hehe that'd be a good party trick! :-D Next week sees us both take off to Meribel Valley in France for 1 week of skiing yay!!! Rebecca has booked herself on a 5 day ski school meanwhile Johnny is going to carve up some powder in his skis!! :-) photos to come!!
