Weddings, birthdays & roadtrips...

We were invited to one of my workmates wedding a couple of weeks ago. The wedding was in a little town called 'Ballinalee' in Couty Longford which was then followed by the reception at the Cabra Castle in County Cavan. Cabra Castle is a beautiful location to host a reception & is home to many weddings each year. There were at least 100 guests there to party on through the night. Good effort on the bride and groom's behalf staying up later than we did!!

As you already know, this month, this old body of mine turned 2.7 decades old & seeing as Bex's will turn 2.4 in a few days we decided it was yet another reason to go out for a few drinks (or more!). This time, it was at our local favourite 'Market Bar' - yes yes, we always go there, its our favourite!!

Finally, last weekend, we used Clodagh as our excuse to explore the west coast a little. Hooking up on Rebecca's EXTENDED family contacts, we stayed with Sean & Anna (who are first cousins of Rebecca's grand dad. This would make him Rebecca's 1st cousin twice removed? I'm confused). Anyway, there were absolutely lovely and gave us a temporary headquarters for our travels :-) Over the weekend, we ventured around the west coast of Clare to show Clodagh the Burren, Cliffs of Moher & Lahinch - where we also met up with Eamon & Barbara - Rebecca's aunt & uncle - Connemara, Galway city etc. Some of the sights on the west coast is really quite something. Its rocks for as far as you can see, cliffs against the Atlantic, waves splashing non-stop... Can't get this kind of rugged terrain in many places!!
