latest update
As well as watching (and mourning!) the rugby, we have had a few guests over the last few weeks and have been up to a few things...
A wonderful German friend of ours, Elisabeth, came over from Berlin to visit us a few weeks ago and we took the opportunity to have an Oktoberfest night at our favourite German-style Beer Hall The Bull and Castle. We also made sure that we showed Elisabeth the delights of Dublin and it was great to catch up with her!
Also staying with us at that time was Sivani, a cousin of our good friends Nivi and Vasi. She has been staying with us for the last four weeks as she settled in Dublin and looked for a job and a place to live. She moves out today so our living room will seem very empty without her!
Lastly, but definitely not leastly, we had the opportunity to catch up with a very good family friend, Maureen, when she spent a night with us in Dublin last week. Unfortunately her trip was cut short but we hope to see her again soon!
And as for things we have been up to...
I (Bex) ran a half-marathon a few weeks ago, finishing in 2 hours and 5 minutes (just 5 minutes longer than my target), I have also now changed jobs (please let me know if you have not received my updated contact details and you would like to), and have made brief trips to London (to visit a few friends and sort stuff to do with my wedding dress) and Belfast (to visit my sister and do a bit of clothes shopping).

Johnny has been working hard as per usual, playing with his brand new video camera and has more recently been preparing himself for his trip home to New Zealand! He leaves tomorrow and arrives into Auckland on Saturday morning. His visit is a flying one though with two weddings to go to as well as some of our own to organise!
Together we have had a few nights out and also went away to a Surf and Music Festival weekend called 'Cois Fharraige', out on the West Coast of Ireland in Kilkee, with some friends at the start of September. It was an amazing weekend with the best weather there has been all 'Summer', we got the chance to see the Fun Lovin' Criminals, Paddy Casey, and Ocean Colour Scene live as well as hanging out in the beautiful weather with friends.
