Full Steam Ahead on Wedding Plans!
With less than four months to go till our wedding Johnny and I have been very busy with loads of wedding plans - check out our wedding website for the latest updates!
I had to go over to London for a work course a few weeks ago and as it was on a Friday I took the opportunity to visit a few people as well as do some wedding-related things.
The course finished at 1pm my friend Sharron slipped out of work to meet up with me for a coffee. I then jumped on the train and headed out to Reading! There I caught up with friends of ours Emily and Peter who took me to a charming English pub called The Swan for dinner and a drink or two.
The next day was back into London to meet friends for lunch before hitting the shops - big time!! Amongst the group of friends was my dressmaker Lorraine so we trawled Oxford Street for hours looking for the right torsolette to wear under my dress - trust me when I say this is incredibly difficult to find!! After finally giving up on our mission, Lorraine and I grabbed something small to eat and headed down to where she lives in Sussex. Being night-time I wasn't able to fully appreciate the scenic countryside that she lives in but we had a great ol' chat anyway (yes mainly about wedding dresses!).
Sunday I headed back up to London again to meet with Kiwi friends Claire, Marek and Nivi for a yummy lunch before flying off back to Dublin!
It really is brilliant to catch up with so many friends in London and even more so when work pays for the flights! Hopefully this won't be the only time I make it over either! :-)
