Long Overdue Update
Okay, okay, as my darling husband keeps pointing out to me it really has been a long long time since I last updated our blog but I promise it really has been a hectic 3 months! I have been studying hard in my Chinese course and channelling my inner-geek to get decent marks (I passed the semester! Wahoo!) while simutaneously embracing the student life-style once more and enjoying lots of nights out with new friends. Johnny, meanwhile, has been jetting around Asia on business living it up in airport business lounges, swanky hotels and exotic locations, only making it home for weekends. Ah the life huh!?!
Christmas, New Years and now Chinese New Year have all gone past in a blur of parties, dinners and adventures to other areas just outside of Taipei and we have enjoyed celebrating them all with our ever-increasing group of new friends and Johnny’s lovely relatives. I managed to zip over to Hong Kong to see my Irish Grandparents in December when they stopped off there on their way to New Zealand and we also had the pleasure of seeing an old friend over here just recently as our mate Craig came to visit for a couple of days.
Life in Taiwan is going well for us with a very active social life and I am slowly developing my Chinese language skills. One semester almost down, just another three more to go! ;-)
I have been a bit more frequent at uploading photos to Facebook than Flickr these days but I usually put a few more on Flickr so those that are interested can click on the photos below and I promise to update the blog again soon!
